- Harley Quinn and the Gotham City Sirens — $9
- Catwoman: Trail of the Catwoman — $9
- Far Sector — $9
- All-Star Superman — $9
- Watchmen — $8
- Wonder Woman: Earth One — $9.30
DC Compact Comics are designed to be approachable entry-points into various comic books from the publisher, focused primarily on characters like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. They’re collections of the best stories starring the heroes, and they’re also smaller than your average graphic novel, allowing them to be affordable alternatives. The line has been fairly successful since it debuted earlier this year, and will expand next year with even more releases of fan-favorite stories.
- Batman: Hush — $10
- Joker — $10
- Harley Quinn and the Gotham City Sirens — $9
- Catwoman: Trail of the Catwoman — $9
- Far Sector — $9
- All-Star Superman — $9
- Watchmen — $8
- Wonder Woman: Earth One — $9.30
Right now, you can pick most of these up for around $9 each, so with the B2G1 promotion, you can quickly build up a library of travel-friendly graphic novels. One of the highlights here is Batman: Hush, a landmark series illustrated by Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Alex Sinclair. Written by Jeph Loeb, the series followed Batman as he hunted down Hush, a mysterious killer with ties to his past, and it featured guest appearances by several DC Comics heroes and villains.
Other must-read titles include Far Sector, a Green Lantern story that puts a fresh spin on the idea of the intergalactic cops. For six months, newly chosen Green Lantern Sojourner “Jo” Mullein protected the City Enduring, but after the first murder in 500 years threatened the peace of the massive metropolis of 20 billion people, it was up to this rookie Emerald Knight to get to the bottom of this mystery. You can also grab All-Star Superman, an epic tale that is still considered to be the very best Man of Steel story more than 20 years after it was first published.
A celebration of Superman across the ages, the 12-issue series chronicled the final days of the last son of Krypton, as a fatal overdose of solar radiation left him with mere months to live and 12 impossible labors to complete if he wanted to ensure the future of his adopted homeworld. The only exception to this sale is Scott Snyder and Stephen King’s American Vampire, but at $9.30, it’s still an affordable read to pick up.
Chronicling the history of a new breed of vampire, this paperback collects the first 11 issues of the series spread across American history’s most distinctive eras. From Wild West action to the founding of Las Vegas during the height of the Mafia’s power in the ’30s, this is a fascinating trip through history.
Below you’ll also find a list of B2G1 Batman graphic novels currently on sale. There are some excellent stories here by superstar teams, including the classic tale The Long Halloween and recent releases like The Batman: First Knight. Easily the best value for money here is Batman: One Bad Day, a collection of eight hardcover graphic novels in a stylish slipscase.
Each graphic novel focuses on one of Batman’s greatest villains and the days that defined them, and with several of DC’s greatest creative teams working on these stories, each one tells a definitive tale about Batman’s greatest nemeses.

While Seth Rogen is primarily known for being a stoner with a memorable laugh in Judd Apatow movies, these days he’s doing at least as much producing as he is acting, with five of his current and upcoming production projects being rooted in comic book origins. And so Rogen has opinions about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which he spoke about in a new interview with Total Film Magazine.
“I think that Kevin Feige is a brilliant guy, and I think a lot of the filmmakers he’s hired to make these movies are great filmmakers,” Rogen said. “But as someone who doesn’t have children… it is [all] kind of geared toward kids, you know? There are times where I will forget. I’ll watch one of these things, as an adult with no kids, and be like, ‘Oh, this is just not for me.'”

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is a game that knows its audience. Picking up where its predecessor left off, it tells the ongoing tale of young ninja Naruto Uzumaki’s struggles as the Nine-Tails’ jinchuriki and his complex relationship with Sasuke Uchiha. It also covers the five kage summit and the outbreak of the fourth great ninja war.
If none of this means anything to you, Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is not the game for you. It spends tremendous amounts of time on storytelling, and there are so many characters, factions, rivalries, chakras, jutsus, and other aspects of Naruto history and lore at play that unless you have a working familiarity with all this stuff ahead of time, you’re going to be completely lost. The series hasn’t lost its knack for eye-popping boss battles and a…

In Rainbow Six Siege, small tactical choices always lead to big consequences. Every round is a new lesson in what you could have done better, with your mistakes acting as a stern teacher. Taking these lessons to heart and adjusting your team’s strategy accordingly keeps each match feeling fresh and exciting, and a drip-feed of new operators, loadouts, and abilities constantly introduces new considerations. The thrill of seeing your plan succeed–whether that’s a collection of traps that stops the enemy in their tracks, a well-placed breaching hole that sets the stage for an ambush, or two operators’ abilities working together to pull the rug out from the opposing team–is what makes Siege not only a compelling shooter but one of the best examples of teamwork, tactics, and crac…
Taking the world and characters of the original Minecraft, a sandbox block builder, and putting them into a real-time strategy game with action elements is–while certainly a cool-sounding idea–an experimental move. Sadly, it’s one that doesn’t quite pay off in Minecraft Legends as the simple action elements actively detract from the more tantalizing possibilities present on the strategy side. However, it has good ideas outside the story-driven campaign that keep the game from descending into an absolute slog of an experience.
In the story campaign, you play as a denizen of the original Minecraft, who is plucked from your time and transported back to an older version of the Overworld that has long since passed into legend. This Overworld is overseen by Foresight, Action…

Ryan Reynolds will be starring in an upcoming Netflix original feature called The Adam Project and its all about time travel–but if you’re expecting a Christopher Nolan-style puzzle box, you might be in for a surprise. Collider recently posted an interview with screenwriter Jonathan Tropper (Banshee), where he revealed new details about the movie’s plot.
“To me, the time travel was just a device,” Tropper said. “The movie is not a hardcore sci-fi time travel movie. It’s a movie about people. For me, it was more about the characters and the story of this boy who’s lost his father and is trying to come to terms with what that means, through …
It has been a dark time for the Resident Evil series. The abominably disappointing Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Resident Evil 6 utterly lacked the nail-biting action the series was once known for, making it impossible to see in them any glimmer of the franchise’s former greatness. So in a sense, the release of Resident Evil: Revelations on consoles and PC is cause for celebration. First released on the 3DS last year, Revelations is both the best Resident Evil game of the past few years and the one that’s the most true to the series’ roots. There’s something to be said for that. But taken on its own terms, it’s not a great game. It’s not remotely scary, and the enemy design is uninspired. Still, Revelations is competent enough to remind you of what Resident Evil can be, ev…
I couldn’t help but pump my arm and mutter a “hell yes” as my squad finished up our first successful incursion in Rainbow Six Extraction. Even on the easier difficulties, missions had proven to be brutal. And yet, we’d cleared an incursion without a single operator going down, playing a mission that just an hour before had been too challenging for us to even get a third of the way through. But we persevered after our initial failure. We discussed the pros and cons of our operators’ unique gadgets, made plans to take subsequent incursions at a more careful pace, and promised to stick together until the mission was finished. Teamwork won the day for us–and that satisfying sense of camaraderie is Extraction’s greatest hook.
